NEWS FROM THE PRESIDENT FOR MAY 2012 Hi All, It’s been a busy month, with a number of the KDA committee members involved in the recent Autumn Dressage Festival at the SEC, which kept them pretty busy for a while. However, no rest for the wicked and it’s full steam ahead for our own event on Sunday 10th June, the first of two events in a series. We’ve titled this series The 2012 “Beautiful Perth Hills” Dressage series and will be sourcing prizes from growers, producers and businesses in the Perth Hills to celebrate the beauty and abundance of the wonderful area we live in. There will be prizes from 1st—3rd place for all classes, many of which will be fresh produce and products grown and made in the area. We urge all our members to support this event—as riders and helpers—as it promises to be a wonderful day. To get the grounds ready for the event on 10th June, we’ll be having a busy bee at the Saturday rally in May. So that members don’t need to hang around any longer than necessary, we thought we’d have a list of jobs to be done, each lasting around an hour (depending on how hard you work :-)), that can be done either before or after your lesson. As soon as your job is finished, you’ll be free to go, with our blessing. There won’t be anything awful to do, mainly tidying up around the fenced arena so that it looks presentable for our competitors.
